Properly Correcting Your Mistakes Over the Radio
Use the word “correction” when making a mistake on the radio
Don’t Do: Alpha 12, I have a 10-72, err, I mean 10-77.
Do: Alpha 12, I have a 10-72, correction, 10-77.
In-game chat
Civilians will be in the crew: NLRP Civilians
Police will be in the crew: New Liberty RolePlay
Both cops and civilians should be in CREW CHAT for most of the patrol
When you need to talk to a member of the other team (during traffic stops for example), you will switch your chat to ALL.
Command Staff should correct radio responses as so:
Alpha 12: Alpha 12, I have a drag race in progress.
Command Staff Member: Alpha 92, 10-4 on that 10-94.
Identify yourself, and then who you’re talking to. Yourself first always.
When talking on the radio (Zello or Game Chat), make sure you lead off with your badge number so everybody knows who is talking, then say what you need to say. If you are talking to another unit say your badge number first, and then say who you are talking to, then say your message.
Example: Alpha 12, show me as 10-7.
Example: Alpha 12 to Alpha 13, what is your 10-77?
Avoid Using Gamertags whenever possible.
When you are addressing another player you should NOT address him by his gamertag. You will address other officers by their last name, such as "Officer Johnson" for example, or Simply Johnson. You may also refer to any member of the police force by their badge number.
Addressing Command Staff: when addressing any member of command staff (distinguished by their blue shirts), you should address them by rank and last name. Chief Bormann, Lieutenant Endicott, Sergeant Herbeck for example. Questions & orders from a blue shirt should be answered with “yes sir” or “no sir”.
Do not talk to yourself.
Do not talk excessively for any reason.
If you are going to have extended conversations with somebody call them on the phone.
Do not play music through your microphone.
